<p>Role: Kitchen Porter, Solina Cardiff</p><p>Reporting to: Head Chef and KM team, Solina Cardiff</p><p>Working alongside: BOH &amp; FOH teams</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Solina is….. Fresh pasta, fine ingredients, and feel-good vibes. Solina is all about simple things done right - with warmth, flair, and a whole lot of flavour. This is a high volume, fast paced restaurant. If you dream of handmade spaghetti and high-quality service, Solina’s your place. With our flagship Solina in Bath - Cardiff is our next stop, and we’re looking for a KP to join the Brigade.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Purpose of the Role</p><p>Our Kitchen Porters play an essential role in our daily operation. You are in charge of cleaning cutlery, crockery, glasses, kitchen utensils to the required standard and to carry out any relevant and necessary cleaning duties.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Clean the walls, doors and extinguishers weekly.</li><li>Mop the kitchen floors three times a day at designated times to use ‘’wet floor’’ signs! </li><li>Remove rubbish from the kitchen area.</li><li>Re-stock various plates on sections making sure all china is clean and polished.</li><li>Stack plates in required sections.</li><li>Ensure the work area is left clean and tidy.</li><li>Keep rubbish bins clean at all times.</li><li>Check paper hand towels and soap dispensers are replenished regularly.</li><li>Attend any necessary training sessions or meetings.</li><li>Wash and polish all glasses.</li><li>The waste container area is to be brushed once a day. This area needs to be in a clean and orderly state at all times.</li><li>Wash and correctly store pots, pans and cooking utensils.</li><li>Polish silver cloches after service.</li><li>Clean trays after service</li><li>To make sure that Company Policy, the Vision Statement and Departmental Objectives are followed and utilised at all times.</li><li>To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health &amp; Safety regulations and report any faults to the Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.</li><li>To be fully aware of the venues Fire Safety Procedures and Health &amp; Safety regulations.</li><li>Arrive at work for a rostered shift and be punctual, always following company absence and lateness procedures if unable to do so</li><li>Report any personnel issues to the management team that may affect your ability to execute your duties to the agreed company standards</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Compliance, Safety &amp; Security</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.</li><li>Diligently follow our Allergen Management Procedures and ensure the kitchen team complies at all times.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>What&#39;s in it for you?</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Career Opportunities &amp; Progression</li><li>25% Discount across the Group</li><li>Apprenticeship schemes</li><li>50% off on shift menu</li><li>On demand well being support</li><li>WSET, H&amp;S and FA training opportunities</li></ul>
