We’re hiring: Sous Chef

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen, drive standards, and be the Head Chef’s right hand.

Walcot Group is a family of restaurants — Walcot House, Solina, Mother & Wild, Little Walcot, and more. Each with its own flavour, all with the same goal: great food, great drink, great hospitality.

You’ll be working with top-quality ingredients, a proper bit of kit, and a passionate kitchen team. As Sous Chef, you'll be running the pass, mentoring the junior chefs, managing prep, and ensuring every plate hits the mark. Whether you are stepping up to run the kitchen on the Head Chef's days off or getting stuck into service on a busy Saturday, we want someone who leads by example, keeps morale high, and brings a positive attitude to the team.

What we’re after:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef (or a standout Senior CDP ready to make the step up) in a busy, fresh-food kitchen.
A natural leader who is calm under pressure and always happy to muck in on any section.
A solid grasp of the operational side—ordering, stock control, and food hygiene.
A good eye for detail (but not a perfectionist to the point of madness).
Real pride in your food, developing your team, and running a tight, happy service.
